Dr. Bertorelli is originally from New York but grew up in South Florida. She attended Florida Atlantic University where she received dual degrees in Business and Biology. She then received her veterinary degree from Midwestern University in Arizona where she graduated with honors. After graduation, she worked as a general practice veterinarian in Florida where her love for surgery grew stronger. She completed a small animal and surgery internship in Florida followed by a surgical internship in North Carolina. Missing the Arizona sunsets, Dr. Bertorelli joined the SVSS team as a surgical intern in summer of 2024 and has now started her three-year surgical residency! During her downtime, she loves hiking with her husband and 3 rescue shepherd mixes (Kali, Kona, and Bud) and baking sweet treats.
