Dr. Bert Shelley graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University in 1990. After graduating he completed a rotating internship at Oklahoma State University followed by a residency in small animal surgery at Texas A&M University where he also received a Master’s degree. Dr. Shelley earned diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1998. He relocated to Arizona in 2019 after providing surgical services in Springfield, Missouri for 24 years. He grew up in Southwest New Mexico and looked forward to returning to the southwest. Dr. Shelley is trained in all areas of surgery, but his area of interest includes orthopedics. He has lectured internationally and written articles and book chapters on the use of lasers in veterinary surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
